  • Self-proclaimed Internet “experts”, we are Kiwis who have relocated to Samoa (2010 and 2011 respectively).
  • As information facilitators, we help people create, share and obtain information – primarily using the Internet.
  • Our Samoan operations commenced in 2010.

Dennis A. Smith (www.dennis.co.nz)

Formerly New Zealand’s most prolific web developer, Dennis has an extensive career in the IT space, covering hardware (1989 – 1996), software (from 1989 onwards) and since 1997, the Internet.

Along with many other initiatives, he established his own website development company (Go Kiwi Internet) in 1999, and the Web Developers Association of New Zealand (WDANZ) in 2006.

His extraordinary capacity to explain technical matters to non-technical people helps him put businesses (and individuals and non-profits) on the map, quickly, efficiently and professionally. As a result of this he has mentored many newbies, and established himself as a valued author, public speaker and business advisor to non-technical managers and Boards in New Zealand.

He is an IT Entrepreneur of note, ultra-creative in business, who loves a challenge and especially working in collaboration with others to help achieve their goals.

Debbie Smith, MEd, GDip Tchg, BBS, NZIMDip Mgt, (www.debbie.co.nz)

Debbie has a Masters of Education (specialising in Gifted Education and Online Learning) and an Accounting Degree. She is a blogger, publisher (of educational books for gifted education) and teacher (of regular students, gifted students, online students as well as a ‘teacher of teachers’!)

Debbie studied extramurally through Massey University (NZ) for both degrees and has done extensive work within the field of Gifted Education off line, and online.

Debbie says, “I see my teaching role as more of a facilitator to help people learn, using the strategies and surroundings that suit them best.”

The Samoa Connection

Dennis & Debbie established the SWAP Foundation, a private registered Charitable Trust in Samoa, to assist with post-Tsunami tourism recovery. SWAP brings volunteers to Samoa, providing food and accommodation to people who wish to help make a difference, a concept called VOLUNTOURISM a mixture of tourism and volunteering.

Gold Tick Services works alongside of SWAP, assisting with practical, technical and strategic advice. Debbie and Dennis (through GTS) have also been the initial financial contributors to the SWAP Foundation.
